This product is the fastest, safest way to keep pliers handy when you need them, and safely stowed when you don’t. That’s because the spring-loaded device automatically retracts the pliers when you’re done using them, securing them to you.

At the heart of the Pliers Retractor is a genuine Gear Keeper® RT2 Series Mini Gear Keeper.® This palm-sized canister attaches to the wearer, utilizing either a Snap Clip Mount (Model RT2?5711) or spring-steel, 360-degree Rotating Belt Clip Mount (Model TR2?5751). The canister contains a spring-loaded, self-retracting 28-inch stainless steel cable — that’s what tethers, and retracts, the pliers to the angler.
The unit comes complete with a rugged nylon lanyard: which links the Gear Keeper® canister to the actual pliers. And that lanyard is a quick-release model, too — so it’s easy to detach the pliers from the Gear Keeper® when needed. This product is also built to last and survive extended saltwater exposure — flushing out sand and debris, and allowing long-time usage for those avid anglers.
The RT2 Series Mini Gear Keeper® Pliers Retractor utilizes a medium-force retractor, with six ounces of spring tension — ideal for all pliers, as well as similarly weighted tools. Once secured, the pliers can be stowed in a pocket, vest or sheath.
