These spring-loaded, self-retracting security systems are the perfect solution for tethering important gear while allowing immediate access and full use. With Gear Keeper tethers, service men and women can always be confident their important gear is within easy reach and ready to use, in any situation and under any conditions.
Gear Keeper offers four different models, designed to accommodate different uses and equipment weights. One model is designed for retracting items up to 3 ounces and features a tether that extends up to 36 inches. There?s also a model for gear weighing up to 6 ounces that extends 28 inches. Plus, Gear Keeper offers a tether for equipment up to 9 ounces that offers up to 25 inches of easy movement. And, for heavier pieces weighing up to 12 ounces, there?s a Gear Keeper model designed to provide 20 inches of extension. Items that are heavier than the model?s retraction force can be used with various Gear Keeper models to prevent loss when automatic retraction isn?t required. This configuration can be useful for situations when a high retraction force could interfere with the proper use of the equipment.
Gear Keeper® tethers are available with a variety of mounting systems, including threaded stud mounts (for attachment directly to fabric or webbing), snap clip mounts (attaches to D-rings or belt loops) and Velcro strap mounts (securely wraps and cinches to the MOLLE system). The quick disconnect system allows for fast detachment of gear when needed.
